Palmer Luckey is an American entrepreneur. He is the founder of Oculus VR. It is an American technology company. It manufactures virtual reality hardware and software products.  Luckey has also designed a virtual reality headset Oculus Rift.  Luckey was ranked 22 on the prestigious magazine Force's 2016 list of America's Richest Entrepreneurs at the age of 40.



Work as an online editor
Luckey's father was a car dealer. His mother gave him homeschooling. Since childhood, he was interested in electronics and engineering. He did community college courses from Golden West College and Long Beach City College. He also did a course from California State University where he worked as an online editor in a newspaper run by students.


Loved experimenting since childhood
Lucky was fond of experimenting since childhood. He coils guns. Use complex electronics projects such as Tesla coils and lasers.  He had a keen interest in virtual reality (VR) from the beginning. He had prepared a collection of more than 50 different head mounted displays. For these projects, he raised funds by repairing bad iPhones.


Like to live a normal life
Luckey also worked part time as a computer repair technician. Oculus VR was acquired by Facebook in 
2014 for US $ 3 billion.  Lucky still likes to live an ordinary life. They wear sandals at trade shows and events. He usually plays video games with friends wearing a simple t-shirt.
