NAPS benefits have been in the news for quite some time now.  After all, research has proved that with memory boost and performance improvement, not only does Brain work better, but they also reduce stress.  Although by now it was known that naps have many benefits, but it was not known how long naps should be taken for best results.  Recently, NASA has given the answer through a research.  To ensure that the pilots do not endanger their lives and passengers during air travel, NASA did a study on the naps and found that the pilots who took the 26-minute nap in the cockpit and who did not have a nap.  There was an increase in their alertness of 54 per cent and a 34 per cent increase in job performance.

•10-20 minute naps are the best

Shortening of the duration of naps is good.  If you do not have at least an hour and a half to complete your sleep, do not take a nap for more than half an hour, as this can cause your body to go into deeper stages of sleep which can make you feel awake. However, according to NASA, if you want to get refreshed and work immediately, then the time of 26 minutes can also be longer.  Therefore, 10-20 minute power naps are excellent.  This gives you the benefits of a sleep cycle, as well as you do not have difficulty in getting up.

•Rest also has advantages

If you do not want to sleep, instead of taking a nap, you can recharge yourself even by resting your eyes.  According to the National Sleep Foundation of America, by taking this kind of rest, you can give a break to your brain cells, muscles and organs.  This activity improves your mood, alertness and creativity.
